Day 10

One of the toys that are really popular today is sewing cards. Melissa and Dough have supper cute sewing cards, but unless you find them on sale they are a bit pricey. This year I am trying to make gifts that are cute and inexpensive to make. So I am going to show you how to make a sewing card.

Supplies
Cardboard covered in scrapbook paper
Ribbon or Yarn
Markers
Hole Punch

Trace whatever you want on the card. I used  a triangle and a square, but a star or other shapes would be really cute. Then punch holes to thread the ribbon through and then your done.

Day 9

As you know I play the violin. When I play I use a violin rest also known as a Kun. I had the hardest time finding a way to carry it, finally I made a pouch that attached to my violin case. Although I used this for my violin rest this can also be used as a pencil or crayon pouch.

Day 8

My brother loves energy drinks. Although I hate energy drinks I do think that the can does look cool. So for today's gift idea I am going to make a bank.
First you need to clean out a can and let it dry.
Then cut a hole in it to put the coins through. Screw on the cap and your done.

Another cute idea is to use a jar and put a few coins in it. While I hate energy drinks I enjoy cold coffee drinks.

Day 6

What do you get a dog for Christmas? With our german shepard Adam store bought plush toys get destroyed quickly, so I started making him pillows instead. He LOVES this pillow, he carries it around with him wherever he goes and will whine if he doesn't have it with him when he goes to bed.

So you will need a bath towel, thread, Cotton, sisors and a Needel.

Cut your desired sized pillow out of the bath towel and sew all three edges shut. Then turn the right way, stuff  and sew the top shut.

Italian Sausage Pasta

With Thanksgiving so close I enjoy having quick, cheap, and easy meals to prepare. This recipe is a staple in my family and only costs 95 cents per serving and serves 10 people. This dish can be done two ways you can use a tomato based spaghetti sauce or Alfredo sauce.

Ingredients
Italian Sausage
Noodles
Bread (I used day old bread, one loaf for only 90 cents)
Green Beans (mine came from our garden)
2 cans of tomato based spaghetti sauce
1 can of Alfredo sauce
Basil

First cook the pasta as directed on the box. Then while the pasta is cooking crumble up the Italian Sausage.

Cook beans the way you like and season with basil.

Next drain the pasta and divide the pasta and the Sausage in half.  Add half of the noodles and sausage in the frying where you cooked the Sausage and then add the remaining pasta and Sausage to the pan where you cooked the pasta.

Add 2 cans of tomato based spaghetti sauce to one pan and then add 1 can of Alfredo sauce to the other pan and heat until hot.

Next toast your bread. You could butter it and add garlic salt on it or make herb butter using an Italian season mix (Or make your own Italian seasoning by mixing butter with basil, oregano, parsley, and garlic salt).

Now the supper is done! Enjoy

After seeing many Christmas count down calenders I thought that it would be neat to make a Thanksgiving count down turkey.

Day 4

Day 3

In my opinion nothing is cuter than a homemade card. My mom always buys cards to have on hand. So when thinking about gifts to give I though homemade cards would be perfect. I use card stock and scrapbook paper to make the cards then I decorate it with stickers or decals I got on sale.

Thanksgiving

On of my favorite holidays is Thanksgiving. I always look forward to cooking, decorating the house (dressing my cat up as a turkey), and all of the fun things that are involved with Thanksgiving. So from now until Thanksgiving I will be sharing crafts, tutorials, and recipes with you.

Day 2

I was at a boutique and I saw a cute hot coco kit. When seeing the kit I knew it would be simple and cheap to make. Not only is the coco kit supper cute they make perfect stocking stuffers, party favors, or just a cute treat for Christmas eve.

To make the coco cones all you need is a disposable cake decorating bag, coco mix, marshmallows, chocolate chips, ribbon and a sticker.

To assemble pore coco in the cake decorating bag, add the marshmallows, chocolate chips, tie the bag close and then decorate it with ribbon and a sticker.

So in this tutorial I will be showing you how to make a necklace craft kit.

What you will need
